About Me
While my more than full-time job is pursuing my PhD, I like to believe there is more to me than just my academic work.
Outside of my work, I enjoy to…
Exercise - I am currently training for two Hyrox races, Washington D.C. and NYC. Exercising is a great stress relief. I also enjoy heated yoga and Solidcore, a low-impact lagree like workout.
Travel - My PhD has afforded me many opportunities to travel. My favorites for work travel have been Italy, South Africa, NYC, and San Diego. My favorite personal travel trip was my honeymoon in 2025 to Bora Bora.
Spend time with my family - I enjoy spending time with my husband and two Shiba Inu’s, Cookie and Cream. I travel to Indiana and Kentucky to see my family as often as I can.
Attend music festivals - I like to go to 2-3 music festivals a year with my husband and friends. Mostly larger music festivals that have a good combination of EDM and Rap music.
Attend sporting events - I am big into sports. I am a fan of the Purdue Boilermakers (Boiler Up!), Chicago Cubs, and Carolina Hurricanes. Some of my favorite memories have been at sporting events, including the 2018 Purdue vs. Ohio State football game and the 2024 matchup of Purdue vs. NC State at the NCAA Men’s Final Four Game in Phoenix, AZ.
